    Do you think that coding convention is a good idea? IMO, the anser is: yes
    and no.

    Yes: it unifies the developers to have a consistent style of coding.

    No: There are more than one convention for every language. So, one may
    create a library using one convention. He (she) needs to distribute the
    convention to let others knowwhat different styles mean. This will waste the
    time of the developer to master this convention.

    Unify the different coding conventions into one. This must be standarized.
