NOTES:

  1. The different types of documents we've been browsing here all have the same internal file format and Augment file attributes, and were all authored using plain old Augment, rather than being associated with a particular application like a word processor, a project management system, or a software development system. The paradigm is from the point of view of mixed object files which are not application specific; instead you employ whichever mix of commands you need to operate on different types of objects in the file.

  2. Special attributes embedded in an Augment file:
    The Augment file format includes:
      • Statements - where a Statement is the basic unit of information in the file, could be paragraph,
heading, item in a list, line of code, figure, caption, etc.
      • Structure - arrangement of Statements in the file
Each Statement is assigned the following attributes:
      • Statement ID Number - a permanent address number
      • Statement Signature - the date, time, and author of last edit
And the user can optionally add attribute:
      • Statement Name - a label (aka "anchor name") identifying the statement
From the structure and relative positioning of statements and their contents, Augment then derives additional address elements on the fly, which, combined with the statement attributes and structure, make posssible ubiquitously the flexible precision jumping, view control, addressability, linking, editing, etc. in a seamless open foundational knowledge architecture.
