TCP Packet sifting

Does anyone know TCP packets well enough to give me a hand making a
connection from a DOS machine with a packet driver to an internet host?
I can see the packets going back and forth, but I don't see any results
on the DOS client side. I have done a tcpdump to a file and am
understinding what it actually happening. Please drop me an email with
